Welcome to the Tech for Palestine Incubator

The Tech for Palestine incubator supports initiatives for Palestine, by getting them off the ground and helping them scale up. Our goal is to create a broad and diverse set of initiatives for Palestine that are able to educate the entire world about Palestine, and to address Hasbara and Zionism wherever it takes hold.

We take on a limited number of projects to support with our expertise and resources.

Who the incubator is for:

Any early stage project which directly or indirectly advocates for Palestine, who we believe can have impact and can scale. Our projects are often, but not always, in these areas:

Scaling up boycotts
Protest Tech
Tech industry / VC divestment
Media bias
Reach new audiences with the Palestinian message
Silicon Valley / Palestine partnerships
Bias in AI
Exposing Hasbara

How the Incubator can help you:

Many projects for Palestine are started by advocates who have a good idea, but don't yet know how to execute on it. We help support you on your journey, using our knowledge of building scalable projects, working with volunteers, the pro-Palestine ecosystem, and using our platform and network to support your work.

More experienced teams may find our connections and platform valuable, as well as our strategic advice on how to tailor what you're building for the right niche to start, and our knowledge of what exists already in the ecosystem, and how to partner with them.

What the incubator does:

Strategic advice

All projects start with a strategy session, honing your approach through our expertise from 200+ projects.

Mentorship

Education

What we expect if you join:

Focus on impact: We expect projects to focus on impact, such as for example reaching 10 million users

Commitment: We expect project leaders to be committed to their project, to keep working on it, and to drive it forwards.

Communication: We expect projects to stay in touch, attending Office Hours, sending updates, and working with T4P staff where needed. During your first 6 weeks you must attend at least one Office Hours call per week, after that we expect you to attend once a month at least until you achieve Product Market Fit.

Flexible participation: If the incubator no longer fits your needs, or you stop participating in it, your membership may be removed (without hard feelings)

What We Don't Require / Expect:

No Daily Meetings

Daily or multiple weekly meetings are not required.

No T4P Ownership

Official T4P branding or ownership of your work is not required.

Flexible Tools

Use whatever infrastructure or tools work best for your project.

Application process

1

Application Form: Fill out the application form (takes 10-30 minutes)

2

Review: After you apply, we'll review your application, and invite selected projects for an interview. (We sometimes reach out to projects for more information)

3

Interview: A 30 minute call, focusing on the impact you intend to have and how you intend to get there. Please don't prepare slides or a presentation. Interviews are very direct and aim to push you on your understanding of the problem and the impact you might have.

4

Decision: After the interview, we'll make a decision to admit you, and notify you as soon as possible. In some cases we may ask more questions after the interview.

5

Timeline: Interview and acceptance decisions are made twice weekly, and we aim to get a decision to all applicants within 10 days of application.

6

Next Steps: If admitted, you'll receive an email with next steps, and how to get access to all the resources from Tech for Palestine.
